Grant's Block Park, located at the corner of Westminster and Union Streets, has reopened with a fresh new look. Completed in May 2024, the revamped park features a 1,730 square-foot dog park, new cedar seating, beautifully landscaped beds with nine new trees and flowering perennials, and enhanced lighting throughout. Designed by Cornish Associates, Ryan Associates, and Union Studio Architects, with Landscape Creations handling the build, the park is a welcoming addition to the Westminster Street Corridor.

Landscape architecture is a long game, and projects often take years to come to fruition. Given that, there is no better feeling than seeing a space youโve designed filled with happy people.
Grantโs Block in Providence, RI, is such a space. What was once an empty, albeit much-used, lot has been transformed into a flexible open space that once again hosts beloved community events such as Movies on The Block, a series of free outdoor film screenings.
