Movies on the Block – Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring

Presented by InDowncity, Cornish Associates and your favorite downtown small businesses, Movies on the Block is the city’s only outdoor movie theatre!

We’re so excited to be here announcing our Summer 2026 season. Before bringing this series back in 2025, we’d been on pause since 2019! Last year marked such a triumphant return that we cannot wait to do it all over again.

We’re back at Grant’s Block Park at 260 Westminster Street (pssst it may look a little different than it did in 2019 since it has since undergone significant renovations) in downtown Providence, where the first Movie’s on the Block debuted in 2008.

This summer, Movies on the Block will be back for just FOUR very special Thursday evening screenings.

We can’t wait to see you soon! Tell all your friends, head down to Westminster, grab some concessions and bevs at a local restaurant, and get ready to watch some of your favorite films under the stars.
