East Bay Bike Path

A paved rail-trail stretching roughly 14–14.5 miles from Providence to Bristol, the East Bay Bike Path follows a former railroad corridor along Narragansett Bay. The route begins near the waterfront in Providence, crosses the Seekonk River, and continues through coastal woodlands, marshes, parks, and suburban towns. Riders pass scenic landmarks such as the Pomham Rocks Lighthouse, Squantum Woods, Haines State Park, and the historic Crescent Park Looff Carousel. The trail offers mostly flat terrain, occasional rolling sections, views of the Providence skyline, peaceful natural stretches, and access to local shops, eateries, and small-town centers. It serves both recreational and commuter cyclists and connects to broader networks like the Blackstone River Greenway and the East Coast Greenway.
