A little hidden gem in downtown Providence 🌿
Biltmore Park may look like it’s part of Burnside Park or Kennedy Plaza, but it actually stands in its own special spot right across from Graduate Providence (formerly the iconic Biltmore Hotel).
Tucked into the heart of downtown, this small green space is perfect for a quiet lunch break, a quick reset between meetings, or a casual hang with friends. With benches, trees, and seasonal blooms, it’s a peaceful pause in the middle of the city’s energy.
It’s also become a vibrant gathering place, recently hosting events like SABOR LATINO and LUMINA — bringing music, culture, and community right into the center of the city.
Next time you’re walking by, take a second look — you might just realize you’ve been passing one of Providence’s most underrated parks.

Where city meets nature 🌿
Living Edge transforms a small stretch of Providence’s waterfront into something bigger—an evolving space that blends art, ecology, and community. Designed by DPPN board member, adam anderson, of DESIGN UNDER SKY (@design.under.sky), this award-winning installation reimagines what our riverfront can be: resilient, beautiful, and deeply connected to the natural world.
From “fallen log” seating to native grasses and young forest growth, every detail tells a story of change, adaptation, and coexistence 🌊🌾
A reminder that even the smallest spaces can shape the future of our city.
Honoring the women who shaped Providence—not just with words, but with action, courage, and vision 💛
From Josefina “Doña Fefa” Rosario, who built community through compassion, to Christiana Carteaux Bannister, who made space for creativity to thrive…
From Annie Smith Peck, who climbed past every barrier, to Helen Rowe Metcalf, who built a legacy that still shapes the arts today…
These women—and so many others—helped define the spirit of this city.
This Women’s History Month, we celebrate their stories, their impact, and the paths they created for future generations ✨
