The Annual Dominican Cultural Parade will take place on Sunday, August 10th, at 10:00 am. The parade will begin at the intersection of Thurbers and Broad Street. Participants will start marching from Thurbers Avenue in a southerly direction on Broad Street to the entrance of Roger Williams Park. The Music Festival, Grand Marshals Award and Public Officials presentations will begin at 12 noon until 7pm.

This year’s event theme: “A Tribute to Diversity ” This year we are proud to announce our special guest at the Dominican Festival & Parade, Alex Bueno, guitarist and singer merengue from Dominican Republic.

The Dominican Cultural Parade and Music Festival is organized by Quisqueya in Action, a nonprofit organization with a mission to preserve the traditional values of the Dominican community in Rhode Island.

The event comes together with the participation of over 250 youth performers from different local organizations,
summer camps, sports leagues, and dance and modeling academies. The groups focus their performances on
folkloric and theatrical carnival themes. The parade will include floats from different countries, Latino organizations, colorful folkloric dancers, and more.
