PRONK! in the Park

Each Friday in April, enjoy a family-friendly dance and music workshop with a new PRONK! partner.

PRONK! (Providence Honk Fest) is an activist, outdoor justice, music, and art festival, featuring activist-centered brass bands, percussion ensembles, musicians, performers, and artists.

Since 2007, PRONK! has practiced creative activism in collaboration with local, national, and international musicians, artists, performers, and spectacles in Providence, RI.

Biltmore Park may look like it’s part of Burnside Park or Kennedy Plaza, but it actually stands in its own special spot right across from Graduate Providence (formerly the iconic Biltmore Hotel).

Tucked into the heart of downtown, this small green space is perfect for a quiet lunch break, a quick reset between meetings, or a casual hang with friends. With benches, trees, and seasonal blooms, it’s a peaceful pause in the middle of the city’s energy.

It’s also become a vibrant gathering place, recently hosting events like SABOR LATINO and LUMINA — bringing music, culture, and community right into the center of the city.

Next time you’re walking by, take a second look — you might just realize you’ve been passing one of Providence’s most underrated parks.

Designed by DPPN board member, adam anderson, of DESIGN UNDER SKY (@design.under.sky), this award-winning installation reimagines what our riverfront can be: resilient, beautiful, and deeply connected to the natural world.

From “fallen log” seating to native grasses and young forest growth, every detail tells a story of change, adaptation, and coexistence 🌊🌾

A reminder that even the smallest spaces can shape the future of our city.
