Makerspace Open Studio for Adults
Wednesday, May 13, 2026
Do you have your own creative project in mind? We have makerspace equipment, tools, and supplies that might be useful!
Some smaller hand tools and art supplies that are available include: a button/pin maker, tracing light pad, cutting mat with rotary cutters, iron, clamps, painting supplies, stencil brushes, Perler beads, hot glue, ribbon, yarn, corner rounder punch, and more. Feel free to stop by to use one of these tools during an open studio session!
In addition, we offer access to machines including: Silhouette and Cricut cutting machines, sewing machines, a sublimation printer, a 3D printer, an Epilog laser cutter, and heat presses for fabric and mugs. If you are new to using one of these machines, it is best to receive an introductory lesson by appointment first to learn the basics.
To begin using one of the machines, please follow these steps:
- First, we encourage you to request a training to learn the basics of a specific machine beforehand. We can set up a separate appointment to meet with you during the week.
- After you are trained, continue working on independent projects during open studio sessions! This month, we are hosting studio sessions for adults on Monday evenings 5:00-7:30, Wednesday mornings 10:00-1:00, and Friday afternoons 1:00-5:00 at Rochambeau Library. If you are planning to attend a particular studio session, it is helpful to RSVP with Garrett at glocke@clpvd.org so we can predict which machines will be in demand.
