The Providence Children’s Film Festival announces Starry Nights Cinema 2025!

Popcorn will be poppin’ and picnic blankets droppin’ for our family friendly film screenings “under the stars”. Warm summer nights are here, so settle in with the crickets and lightning bugs, friends, family, chairs, picnics – whatever you need – for summer movie magic. "Short Films for Short People (kids!)" proves that sometimes the best things come in small packages. PCFF’s popular "Be Strong Be Kind" shorts film reel reminds us that kindness is a superpower. From noon to 7 PM, the Downtown Providence Parks Loop transforms into a Wayfinding wonderland with FREE performances, workshops, and food—all while celebrating the installation of 200+ new Wayfinding banners representing the first phase of this transformative project!

🎭 Theater & Performance - RI Latino Arts’ ¡Que Diablos! Fausto and Big Nazo’s roaming street theater

💃🏼 Dance & Movement - Bachata, salsa, Flamenco workshops, Lion Dance, and Laotian cultural performances

🎨Interactive Fun - Mega bubbles, face painting, and free RISD Museum admission

🦪 Food & Adventure - Free oyster tastings, kayak rentals, and historical tours

Stay tuned for a more detailed schedule of events!
