How to Act Normal: standup comedy solo show
Sunday, October 27, 2024 - Sunday, October 27, 2024
As a girl growing up in the 90s, everyone seemed to know Rebecca had Autism Spectrum Disorder – except for her! And her parents! However, one thing was crystal clear: she had no idea how to “act normal.” The social nuances that her peers picked up intuitively, she had to leamethodically.
This show will cover Rebecca’s hilarious journey of self-exploration and her lifelong struggle to adapt, including following advice from her friends, female pickup artists, and at one point literally googling “how to act normal” and landing on the pinnacle of the ‘00s internet: WikiHow. The show will touch on a childhood of undiagnosed ASD and how it affected her love, work, friendships, and of course, sex. This show will be extremely relatable to anyone who’s ever felt a little bit socially awkward, whether you have ASD or not (or if you’re still searching for that elusive diagnosis).
Featuring opener Mark-Anthony Lewis (Don’t Tell Comedy)
