🌊 Waterplace Park: Where History Meets the River 🌉
Once the site of the historic Great Salt Cove, Waterplace Park was completed in 1994 and now anchors one of Providence’s most iconic public spaces. Connected to nearly ¾ mile of cobblestone-paved Riverwalk, this waterfront park features Venice-style bridges and winding pedestrian paths that sit just below the hum of city traffic.
🕯️ Best known as the heart of WaterFire, Waterplace Park comes alive in the summer with bonfires on the river and music that echoes through the city — a must-experience for locals and visitors alike.
